On Duty Irons was built for the first responder community and the friends and family that stand behind them.

Behind every uniform is a person. Behind that person is a family, a crew, and a community.

A career in emergency services is built around showing up for others, often on their worst days. That service can come with sacrifices that aren't always seen when the uniform comes off. From mental health struggles and occupational illness & injury, tragic loss, family hardship, and the lasting impact this career can have on its members and their families. 

Giving back to that community has always been part of what ODI stands for.

That's why $2 from every item sold by On Duty Irons is donated back to the first responder community.

HOW THE $2 GIVES BACK

$1 — HONOURING OUR FALLEN

$1 from every item sold is dedicated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), supporting its work to honour fallen firefighters and assist their families and the fire service community.

$1 — CHOSEN BY THE ODI COMMUNITY

The second $1 from every item sold goes into the ODI Giving Back Fund.

Rather than deciding on our own where those dollars should go, we want the people who support ODI to help decide.

Every six months, ODI will open submissions to our community.

We want to hear your stories.

Tell us about the organization doing incredible work that deserves more recognition. Tell us about the charity that helped your department, your family, your crew or your community. Tell us about the cause that became personal after a difficult call, diagnosis, injury or loss.

From the community submissions, three causes will be selected and put to a public vote for the ODI community to decide where that six-month donation will go.

The organization or cause receiving the most votes will receive the funds accumulated in the ODI Giving Back Fund for that period.

BIG OR SMALL, IT ALL MATTERS.

There is no limit to how many times an organization can be recommended and no requirement that a cause needs to be the biggest or most recognized name in the first responder world.

A national organization might need support.

So might the small organization operating out of someone's hometown.

A cause that means everything to one fire hall, one family or one first responder deserves the opportunity to be heard too.

We don't want to decide which causes should matter most to our community.

We want our community to tell us.
